August 24, 2023 - Island of Masbate Giving
One Heart For Hope went to the far island of Masbate to bring joy and hope to the illegally trafficked, abused (sexually and physically) children of Balay Pasirungan and Balay Pag-asa. Most of them haven't been to Jollibee so they were treated with chickenjoy, spaghetti and ice cream. Hygiene kits and pre-loved clothes from the US were also distributed. This is to let these kids know that somebody from far away cares for them. Nobody would want to hear the painful stories behind those innocent smiles. Their laughter reverberates as the "sound of freedom" from the shackles of abuses and oppression.

Our request for help were met with overwhelming support. . The house was very basic but we made sure the foundation and overall design will keep the family from harsh conditions. One Heart For Hope, along with Quota Manila's Joana Sy Yang and the Army, went up the mountainous Brgy. Tinuos to bring blessings to the children of T'boli tribe of Lake Sebu, South Cotabato. These children are under the care of Mam Anita Castillon who founded the Indigenous Learning Center. To get here, we needed an army truck to be able ro navigate the muddy and winding road. Much appreciation to Maj. Sombrion, 1st Lt. Hobayan and Maj. Krisju Punsalan for the prompt action and assistance and to the brave soldiers. Thank you QI Joana and friends who participated in this great activity. And most importantly, to Kuya William and Ate Mayette Sy who never get tired of being hospitable to us all these years.

February 6, 2023 - Visiting The Dumagats of Sierra Madre Part 1 - Through One Heart For Hope, DJ Jun Alcantara from California made sure his vacation will be complete by visiting the the almost inaccessible location of the Dumagat people of Sierra Madre. It was also his advance birthday celebration and what better way to celebrate it was to share his blessings. Giving back, it's always been the motto of One Heart For Hope. Five kilos of rice, corned beef, sugar, iodized salt (there are iodine deficiencies in most children in far flung localities), cookies, and brand new blankets, were distributed to almost a hundred indigenous families. Most of the Dumagats had to walk thru the mountainous terrain and river just to reach the distribution area of Kiborosa, Infanta, Quezon so a hot meal of arroz caldo with egg were served. Thank you DJ Jun Alcantara, Odette Maniquis,  JM Saligan, a OHFH veteran volunteer, Princess and Marvin Astoveza.
Arpril 24, 2023 - New Home for Family of Typhoon Victim
A new decent home for a family whose house was destroyed by Typhoon Odette. OHFH returned to Sitio Pag-Imokan in Brgy. Oringao, Kabankalan, Negros Occidental to grace the house blessing of Marlon Tugade. It was an arduous ride up the mountain and trek under the heat of summer but it's all worth it. Blessings of kitchen wares, toys, food, medicines and various gifts were distributed to the children and to the members of the community. Prayers was done by a local pastor and a sumptuous feast was shared by the community.
There are so many people who need to be thanked for this project. Angels of Hope USA, Virginia Lam and San Francisco friends, Angie Mijares, Ampy Lim, Francisco Reyes, Imee Jastillana, Princess O' Donnel, Fely Bernardo, Elaine Mission, Rod Baleda, sisters Janeth Padernal and Mary Grace Estrao, Sarah Bonnin, Jo Arq, and the community of Sitio Pag-Imokan.

Another batch of family in Northern Samar whose lives will change for the better. One Heart For Hope donated 3 units of paddle boats to indigent fisher folks of Biri for their use for livelihood and mode of transport. Joven Huavas, Peter Legaspi and Edgar Buna were the lucky recipients of these fishing boats, something they've been hoping to get to alleviate the lives of their family.
Huge thanks to Joel Gaton for always assisting with the project and to Virginia Lam for accompanying our volunteer Noel Galang to this distant island of Biri.
November 29, 2023 -Water Pump Project for Biri, Samar

The Patubig project in Sitio Cogon, Brgy. McArthur in Biri Island, Northern Samar is now complete thanks to the generosity of Mancol Family, particularly, Kayin and Hans Mancol. Big thanks also to Joel Gaton for facilitating the project. Finally, water flows on this island where children would wait for the high tide to paddle and fetch water to the next island.

August 27, 2023 - Learning Center for T'Boli Tribes - Gift Giving
One Heart For Hope sponsored Indigenous Learning System (ILS) with 64 elementery students in a remote mountain village in South Cotabato to provide basic education ti T'Boli Tribes in South Cotabato.  The Indigenous Learning School was put up through the request of T'boli tribal leaders and parents of T'nuos because the public school nearest to their sitio is 4 kilometers away and the students had to cross the river twice. Some children fail to attend school because of challenges. The ILS serves the marginalized children purposely to assist them in their educational aspect. The school is progressive, and parents are very much interested to send their children to school and are supportive in all school activities. They know the value of education for the future of their children and for the preservation of the rich T'boli culture.
